Gilchrist County Animal Services
Position: Animal Services Assistant (Part-Time or Full-Time)
Gilchrist County Animal Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable Animal Services Assistant to join our team. This position focuses primarily on the daily care and well-being of animals housed in our kennel.
Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Animal Services Supervisor, this role is responsible for providing hands-on care to animals and maintaining a clean, safe, and humane environment. Duties include feeding, watering, cleaning kennels, monitoring animal health, and assisting with general shelter operations.
The ideal candidate is comfortable working with animals, able to handle physically active work, and can interact professionally with the public in both routine and emotional situations.
We are hiring for part-time or full-time with flexible scheduling.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
OR - One (1) year of experience in animal care, veterinary medicine, or a related field
- Valid Florida Driver License with a satisfactory driving record
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
